Pam Grier most famously known as the sexy Foxy Brown is another Black actress during the 70s that is often overlooked by her Eurocentric counterparts. I remember watching Foxy Brown movies and being fascinated. Foxy Brown represented the quintessential African American fierce women, who exemplified strength, sex appeal and pride. Black Pride that is, with her high natural Afro and Caramel skin.

Pam Grier with her huge Afro symbolized that black could be very beautiful and sexy. Afro's represented Black Power and a growing appreciation among African Americans for their skin color despite what society told them.
