Aiden...was he the one?

When I first started watching Sex and the City I wasn't a fan of Aiden. To be quite honest I was one of those infrequent viewers because this show came on when I was like 10. However a few years ago I started watching all the seasons and I am proud to say I own every SATC dvd. But enough about me. Aiden was the good guy. As I sit here watching the early stages of the Aiden and Carrie era I feel like Aiden is the guy that should come to every girl before the million other guys who break our heart, in Carrie's case Mr. Big. When Aiden and Carrie first met he was such a gentleman. He refrained from sexual intercourse with Carrie because he wanted it to be with someone he genuinely cared for. I loved that he actually took the time to think about why he was single and try to change whatever he's done in the past to make things different this time around with Carrie. Aiden was simple. He had a business, and a dog and all he wanted was a committed relationship. Carrie on the other hand had dealt with so much losers she didn't know how to act when she finally found a winner. She started questioning herself when Aiden told her he wanted to wait a while, as if all her worth lies with sex. But I think this happens a lot with females, we are so used to a certain type of guy that when we find a guy that wants to do right by us we automatically assume something is wrong with them. Aiden through the years has grown on me, yes he's no Mr. Big, he doesn't have any swag and he isn't the type to play games (he is the type to get played), however I believe he is THE guy that women should be looking for. He's the guy that we all say we want but when he appears we tag him as being too nice. Maybe being nice is essentially what we all need.
